First testing more markers - which we do! More markers means greater accuracy. Our 46 marker grandparent test is the most powerful availble and provides more conclusive results than the standard tests that analyzie 16-22 markers.

Secondly, adding the mother or testing both the grandmother and grandfather when possible can also help a grandparent DNA test achieve a result as conclusive as a paternity test.  

Every person inherits half of their DNA from their mother and half from their father. When the mother is tested, her DNA is eliminated from the child, and the father’s DNA is isolated.

This helps to achieve a more conclusive result. A 46 marker grandparent DNA test however, can still be performed with only one grandparent and the child.
