Lab Accreditation
Accredited DNA Testing In The USA
Whether you buy an informational or legal DNA test at PaternityUSA.com, you can be assured the partner lab performing your DNA test is fully AABB accredited & CAP certified. We provide free shipping both ways, and the kits come to you directly from lab with no middleman handling or perhaps mishandling the samples.
Accreditation is very important because accredited labs undergo rigorous surprise inspections to ensure only proven authorized protocols are used. Moreover, in order for legal results to be admissible in court, all test participants must be referred to an accredited laboratory for collection and processing of samples.
Accreditation, What Does It Matter Anyway?
In order for a DNA test to be admissible in court, the DNA test must be performed by an AABB accredited relational testing laboratory. Furthermore, specific care must be taken regarding the identification of the test participants which is commonly referred to as Chain Of Custody (C.O.C).
Furthermore, purchasing a DNA test from an unaccredited lab or one that cuts corners with witnesses or ID's is at best a gamble; it may be cheaper initially, but should you sacrifice quality and/or court admissibility for such an important test?
Before You Buy Your DNA test, Consider These Facts:
- LAB IS A TRUSTED & ACCREDITED DNA TESTING LAB
- All DNA TEST KITS INCLUDE FREE USPS RUSH SHIPPING
- ALL TESTS ARE PERFORMED IN THE USA
- STRICT PROFESSIONAL DNA COLLECTION FOR LEGAL DNA TESTS.
A legal paternity test requires all DNA samples to be collected with proper chain of custody & follow strict DNA collection process as set forth by the AABB.
IF THE COURTS DO NOT TRUST THEIR RESULTS, SHOULD YOU TRUST THEM IN YOUR HOME?
AABB ACCREDITED
Our partner laboratory is one of the few DNA testing laboratories accredited by the AABB (formerly known as the American Association of Blood Banks). The federal government recognizes that CAP's Laboratory Accreditation Program is as rigorous as, or more rigorous than, the government's laboratory inspection program. Our laboratory has maintained its CAP accreditation since 2004.
CAP accreditation also requires laboratories to participate in its Proficiency Testing Program, in which CAP sends samples to laboratories for DNA testing and evaluates the results. Many laboratories participate in this program but do not achieve accreditation, which necessitates a more rigorous on-site laboratory inspection. Our partner laboratory is one of the few participating laboratories and has successfully passed both the proficiency tests and the laboratory accreditation program.
New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
NYSDOH certification allows laboratories to perform DNA testing in cases originating in New York. The NYSDOH rigorously inspects the entire testing service, including processes performed outside the laboratory, such as chain of custody and patient referrals.
